Saying that Deborah Blumenthal has the gift of words is such an understatement. I feel very smiley today! Throughout 70 pages or so of the book, Sirena is trying to get his attention.

Four stars and I repeat: Sirena explores her obsession with Pilot and discovers his mysterious–almost magical–gifts. Such a nice interview! I was bored through most of it and kept hoping with each chapter it would start to pick up but it didn’t. He is almost angelic. Thanks for the chance to win a copy! And I guess you could call this a romance, but really, more pages were spent on her obsessive stalking than romance, and she was way to desperate to liteguard his attention.

I would actually and have actually recommended this book to younger teens. Oct 18, Jasprit rated it it was ok Shelves: The storyline is on the eerie side of the supernatural. But while the the lifeguard by deborah blumenthal of all the other books are different, what they have in common is my writing style which is spare and immediate.
I loved how the plot was so subtle. I totally loved it.
